Product Service Engineer
Description:
Analyzes and resolves customer issues in control applications involving Unico / Micromatic hardware and software. Determines if customer is able to resolve the issue or service tech should be dispatched.
Provides frontline customer support such as troubleshooting phone call & emails. Additionally generates and maintains supporting technical documentation . Works with sales, engineers, and field tech teams and customers directly to bring issues to resolution. Participate in after hours tech support rotation.
Gathers accurate and complete information of product, systems, and application failures. Communicates to various teams through established processes.
Coordinates with customer and/or Aftermarket Parts to determine appropriate replacement parts and dispatch of service support as needed. Determines if in or out of warranty.
Conducts data analysis of present and historical data to identify improvement opportunities. Maintains pareto/awareness of defects identified by customers and drives communication and resolution of top issues.
Participates in team process improvements, High Energy Teams, and DMAIC processes, etc. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent related experience
4 years in application of Unico or similar product
Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma within 3 years strongly desired
